"What is a 'scoop'?"

  • A scoop is measured out by our Bobcat machine. One scoop is the equivalent of 2/3 of a cubic yard.
  • This will weigh approx. 700 lbs. for mulch, 1,100 lbs. for soil, and 1,500 lbs. for stone.

"How much does a scoop cover?"

  • 100 sq./ft. at 2" deep
  • NOTE: The 100 sq. ft. at 2" deep average will not apply for larger stones such as Brown 1"-3", Ohio Oversize, or Rip-Rap.

"Do you deliver?"

  • Yes, we do! Refer to our "Delivery Pricing" page found in the navigation menu.

"How much is delivery?"

  • Within 10 miles of our store, delivery is $45.  Anything outside of 10 miles will host an additional charge. Refer to our "Delivery Pricing" page in the navigation menu.

"How far in advance do I need to schedule a delivery?"

  • In order to guarantee your desired delivery time, it is best to schedule at least 2-3 days in advance.

"What is the smallest/largest amount you can deliver?"

  • We will deliver as little as a 1/2 scoop.
  • In regards to mulch, we can deliver as much as 25 cubic yards and  up to 9 tons of any stone or soil.
  • Only with the exception of 11 cu./yds. or more of mulch, the delivery price will be added to the number of scoops you order. 

"Do I need to set up an appointment to come pick things up?"

  • While it may sometimes help to call ahead to see if we have what/how much you need, you can come by the store anytime to pick up materials.

"Do you do any of the landscape or hardscape installation?"

  • Outside of grading, clearing & excavation work, we do not perform installation of landscape and hardscape materials.

"What is the policy on returns?"

  • Orders of block are available for return within 30 days from the date of purchase, BUT is subject to a 25% restocking fee. The block must  be cleaned prior to returning and must be stacked in the correct order on the pallet it left on. There are no returns on loose or bagged material.

"Are you responsible for my personal property?"

  • While mistakes can happen,  we do not assume liability for damage to personal property when loading loose material on trucks or trailers or to yards or driveways on delivery. We do take the utmost care when handling equipment near your personal property and do our best to minimize any potential damages.
